I have been skipping TKD & missing VE practices because of my Grandma's condition. ):

Last Thursday, just when I thought that she was stabilised, I went for the Choral Exchange in VE. But like, 10 minutes before it even started, I got a call from Mandy's dad, saying that Ah Ma's in critical condition & has to be sent to the ICU.

Mandy & I have been staying in the hospital overnight & damn, it's draining. We only got about 2-4 hrs of sleep. Exhausted.

We've waited hours just to see this (:

Try as I might

Ah Ma had two heart attacks last week & didn't even realised it. She broke out in cold sweat & had difficulty in breathing for both occasions.

& now she's in the hospital. Doctor says that we have to be prepared as her days are numbered due to her weak heart. Broke down countless number of times in the hospital yesterday. Cried until no more tears would flow & I'm left with a throbbing headache.

Just when I've stopped crying, something would trigger, & I'll start again.

All we can do now is to visit her in the hospital everyday & make her happy. I felt so bad cos yesterday when she saw that I was crying, she quickly looked away & held back her tears.

& when I fed her milo, her whole body was trembling in fear. She was so afraid that she has to leave this world soon.

Lying on the hospital bed was my Grandmother who took care of me when I was born till 7 years old. The strong-willed woman who always stands on ceremony & refuses help from people even if she can't handle it herself.

I will continue praying everyday, in hopes of a miracle. Please pray for her too, if you've read this post.

I've never had a proper conversation with him. The only time we'd ever talked was during every Chinese New Year, whereby we'd shake hands & exchange greetings.

That was all.

& now I'm full of regrets.

I wished I had a chance to sit down & get to know him, to love him as he was. But all that's impossible now.

We'll miss you, Granduncle. & although I only know you by face, I'm aware of all the help you've rendered to my Grandma when Grandpa passed away. Thanks for being there for her when she was most vulnerable.

You were a good man. & I'm sure your two sons take pride in that.

I'm sorry I couldn't be there to see you when you were at your last moments. But I hope you left in peace & with no worries.

Rest in peace, Granduncle.

You will be missed dearly.

The trip

Batam was alright. It wasn't as fun as I'd expected. Just that the scenery was gorgeous (:

Picture-perfect material.

So upon arrival, we headed straight to our resort & dumped all our bags there before heading to a famous temple. Took pictures.

Then went to a few shopping centres for shopping but didn't buy much cos their fashion sense is a lil whacked. Bought a swimming costume for SGD$19.00 & some cute undergarments for SGD$11.00 in total.

After shopping, we decided to go for a full-body massage.

OMG THE MASSAGE.

It was so violating ): Cos we had to strip & let our masseuses touch ALL our body parts. & my masseuse was such an ass luh.

She applied so much force that I have bruises & blue-blacks to prove it! Sighs. But it was only SGD$10.00 so yea.

After that went for dinner at some hawker centre. Total dinner bill was SGD$170+. & then came the fun part.

We went to book a KTV room in our resort (: & it was like, 12am. We invited all our relatives (all 17 of them) to join in the singing. Elyse & I seriously kept picking the wrong songs luh. The songs were too low for us to reach & we ended up sounding like we were talking instead of singing

The next day, went to a few more famous places like the Rainbow Bridge, etc. & at night, we took the last ferry back to Singapore.

Why should I be sorry?

I have this one thing which I hafta get off my chest. So please excuse my ramblings.

Friday. My shift was from 4pm-closing. The minute I started work, Ron asked me to head over to ___ to help out with the ___ outlet there as they were short-handed. Okay, so I was doing them a favour.

Saturday. Ron texted me & told me to reach our shop as soon as I could. Reached there 10 mins before my shift started. Upon arrival, he asked me things like whether I served any customers yesterday at ___.

Turns out that the supervisor at ___ complained about my performance. Okay fine whatever. Granted, I don't go up to every single customer the moment they step into the shop, & ask them if they need any help before they even start browsing through the clothes.

I think that's ridiculous. And dumb. And annoying!

I mean, the supervisor should put herself into the customers' shoes man. How would you feel if every 10 secs, a staff goes up to you & asks you whether you need their assistance when you've repeated yourself for the umpteenth time that you are just looking around?!

& because I didn't irritate the hell outta the customers, I got a complain -.-

So, she complained to Ron (& possibly all my colleagues have heard about it already) that I didn't serve customers at all. Like wtf! She's plain ridiculous & unreasonable!

Seriously, I don't have anything to prove to her. I just know that I've done my part with assisting the customers whenever they needed my help. Not when it's unnecessary. So yea, I'm not sorry for anything. Especially not to her -.-

So after Ron delievered the upsetting news to me, he told me to not be so sad. Like wth? I was anything but sad! Even more so, Angry! Pissed! & I felt so maligned!

I'm not sure if people even watch Hell's Kitchen, because it seems like such a boring show at a glimpse. But dive deep into it & you'll get hook on all the scandals & controversies.

Last night's episode was the second-last one of the season. & it was too exciting for me to wait till next week to find out the winner. Thus I did a search on Google (:

Dinner at Newton with VE peeps

Last night's dinner was super super fun! :DD

Met up with the VE people at Newton MRT station at 6.45pm. So after waiting for half an hour, almost everyone came. Well, 16 people to be exact (:

Had dinner on the same table with Shipei, Winnie, Emily & Jiabao. Ate Chilli Crab, Sambal Stingray, Man-tou & Chilli Squids. DELICIOUS! :D

An IJ chalet?

Just had a conference call with Tasha & Sam. We talked for like almost two hours? 0.0

& Sam, I like my 'the Shert attack!' phrase. It's funny, to me.

Tasha said that we'll be having an IJ chalet sometime in March (: But obviously not all IJ-rians are invited.

Just a few close friends. Haha & I'm on her VIP list! Feel so honoured :D heh.

Not bad for only $280 I suppose. I know I wanted to get the Nokia 5610 Xpress Music, but I was thinking of getting another one next February, when my plan expires :D

I haven't completely fallen in love with this new phone yet though :/ Not like my previous one which was love at first sight (:

Chinese New year is almost over ): And I find it getting more and more meaningless. It's becoming more of a let's-go-collect-ang-paos-issue, especially on both my relatives' sides.

Whatever happened to the bonding? The catching up? The warmth?

Is it really just only about collecting the ang paos? This is sad. I hope next year will be better but I seriously doubt it. Speaking of which, i collected a total of $412.00 this year.

I love you so much..

I love my phone! I need it & miss it so badly now! Ever since I lost it yesterday, I've been hoping that the incident was only a dream- a very bad one ):

This morning, I woke up and immediately looked over to my bedside, hoping to see it there. But it wasn't.

And that's when reality sank in.

It started off with me being obsessed over it. Then when I found out that there was only one set left in Singapore, I rushed down to Paragon to get it. I fell in love with it. It was everything I ever wanted & I made use of its every function: The camera, the mp3 player, the voice recorder, etc..

It became a part of me! And ever since I lost it yesterday, it seems like the thief has cruelly cut me into pieces and stole half of my body. Everything was a complete blur today.. the laughter, the lessons, the police report I filed.. I don't remember feeling any real emotions. Just the constant numbing sensation.

I lost half of me. And who knows when I'll ever get it back? I'm crying as I type this right now. Is this considered over-emotional? I don't know.. All I know is I'll never get over my phone as easily as everyone hopes I will. I'm sorry for this, guys. I really thought I got over it today. I really did.. But it turns out that I was just holding my tears back.

Cried a great deal yesterday. In fact, if it wasn't for the crying, I think I would have stayed up all night thinking about it. Thank you Shipei, for holding me in your arms and letting me cry on your shoulder. It was the first time I cried on someone's shoulder & I really appreciate it alot! I hope I didn't stained your shirt with my tears. Cried till no more tears would come out and when I've got a throbbing headache, I finally fell asleep.

And also thank you Farid, Cheryn & Kun Kiat for trying to cheer me up. Sometimes it helped. But most of the time, I was just smiling to assure you guys.

Let's just hope that time will heal this wound. Or even better, I hope the person will be nice enough and return me my phone! I'm willing to pay for it )): And please, whatever you do, don't delete anything! Everything in it means alot to me!

Hectic hectic hectic.

Things have been like that for the past.. -counts with fingers- 5 days. Firstly, the announcement of the new committee in VE caught me by surprise. I seriously didn't think I'd get into the commitee at all. And ever since then, the seniors have been teaching us the ropes. There are TONS of responsibilities involved! Not to mention, the amount of time we need to spend.

So far, we've managed to discuss things online and in school as a whole committee. I really hope that I can balance out and cope with my studies man :/ So we performed in the school's atrium this morning at 11 plus. The crowd was...

pathetic.

Was really disappointing because no crowd = no motivation to sing well.

Running mad

I'm going to Serangoon stadium for jogging today. Why? Cos I've been putting it off for far too long! Ever since Poly started, I keep reminding myself to exercise, but in the back of my mind, I tell myself that there is alota time to exercise so why must it be now?

Another reason is because I wana tone my muscles (which are now fats, sadly). The most disappointing parts of my body are my calves and arms! Yesterday, Cheryn was like 'Woah! Your calves muscles are damn big!' DUH! The muscles will definitely grow after years of Track & Field, Basketball, and Rhythmic Gym.

So, if I stick to my plan of jogging every Saturday (I'll try to squeeze in another day), I should become slimmer and toner by next year :D Also, my stamina will also improve! I have a really really weak/bad/lousy stamina even when I was in Track & Field. So obviously, I could only do sprinting ):

Bought New Moon yesterday :D I know that Mandy and Suee both have the book and can lend it to me but I could hardly wait any longer. Stayed up till 2am again to read it and CRIED. I was so shocked! I didn't expected myself to cry so easily, but it was the part when Edward left Bella & she slowly sunk into depression. It was so so sad.

Meanwhile, dinner was excruciating yesterday. All because I saw you at the mrt station. It was so awkward and I was surprised that I felt a certain pain inside of me emerged when I saw you. I missed the times we spent together as friends.

Anyway, ever since I saw you, I couldn't stop thinking of the past. When my mom and I went to Plaza Singapura to meet up with her bestie for dinner, my mind was somewhere else. And I was aware of how rude it is to not laugh and listen to my mom's bestie, Desiree's stories, but I'm not the kind of person who can pretend like nothing has happened and fake a smile when something's troubling me. When I'm troubled, it will show on my face.

As we queued up outside Cafe Cartel, my mom patiently and intently listen along to Desiree's recent updates and I was trying so hard to focus but I just couldn't. Eventually I gave up and told them that I wanted to go to the Times Bookstore to buy New Moon. I wanted to have some alone time to think things through.

What if I had greeted you at the station? What would your reaction be? I wanted to know how were you and how's school but I chose to run away. I guess I was completely caught off-guard at the moment I saw you :/

I FINALLY finished reading Twilight last night. All 498 pages of it! Stayed up till 2 plus to finish it. Mandy's record is still unbroken haha; she stayed up till 3 plus to read it.

and YES, that is how addictive Twilight can get!

Anyway, I realised that I've completely stopped writing songs :/ I used to write alot of lyrics when I was in Primary 6, all the way to Secondary 4.

And it seems like, ever since this year, i've stopped writing altogether ): Maybe I should pick up my pen and start writing again. Even though they're just the lyrics I write, I try to hum out the tune of how I picture the song to be.

I MUST read New Moon soon! It's the sequel of Twilight! Meanwhile, I've got two books of Nicholas Sparks to fill me up as well (They were Christmas presents I requested from my Aunt) and OH! I can't wait for the dinner with my mom and her best friend later! YUMMM! :D

I'm sick. And of all days, it has to be today. Initially, I was supposed to go to East Coast Park with Elyse and Janice to roller-blade and cycle. But our plan was put to a halt thanks to my flu ):

There's something about Christmas time

Just came back from carolling ((: We went to two places: a hospice and an old folks' home!

We shared the tourbus with people from the Community Service Club. I'm thinking of joining that next year :D Anws, VE peeps were high as usual!

Sang My Bonnie on the way to the hospice and and and! WE PLAYED MI-MI-MI-RE-MI-FA-SO-MI!! It was super fun!

It started off with me and Fazilah playing during VE practice yst and somehow, we got almost the whole VE to join in :D fun fun fun!

I LOVED the old folks' home especially cos the folks were enthusiastic about our performance! They clapped to the beat of all our songs except I'll Be Home For Christmas. If you take a listen to that song, you'll understand why they didn't clap for that.

And it was so heart-warming just to see them smile! You just feel like going over and giving them a big hug and telling them that everything's gonna be alright.

It's giving me more clarity now.

Just came back from 'studying' at Serangoon Macs with Cheryn, Haikal, Farid, Yilong and Lence :D Later at 6 we're gona meet at the airport to really study. I'm soooooooooooooo sleepy!

So many things (good and bad) have been happening recently, which makes me question: Why now? And why must everything happen at the same time? Sure, certain things can wait. But for everything else, the wait seems impossible and far-fetched.

Okay, that was a whole load of crap I just said but only a few people I confide in will truly understand the meaning of those words.

And I just realised something. I like talking to Farid! He's a really nice person to talk to. We can talk about religions and stuffs and exchange our views, which is good. Cos I realised that it's so hard to find someone you can talk to (as in, really TALK to) in poly.

Everyone else just seems too preoccupied in their own lives to care for others. Oh well, like Cheryn always says, That's Life!

LARDEDUMS~

We went to Marina Square to study today! :D well at least, we tried to. Met Yilong at Serangoon MRT at 10 plus and went down to Cityhall (sp?) to meet Cheryn.

Watched ENCHANTED! :D It rocked man! Almost cried at the last part cos it was touching and so damn romantic! Farid's loss for not coming to the movies with us. HA.

After the movie we went walking around M.S. Bought a tee shirt with Cheryn (: Then we camwhored all the way in Kiddy Palace! HAHAS. Finally settled down when Farid arrived at 2 plus plus PLUS.

Went to Starbucks to study.

We ended up talking -.- and some random person called Wei Qiang called me like 5 TIMES?!?! He asked for Sherry and I said I'm Sheryl and he apologised for calling the wrong number.

EXAMS

Studied with Yilong at Serangoon Macs yesterday. ( At least I didn't post that unglam picture! )

Went there at arnd 4 plus cos I wanted to avoid someone. And phew! Thank God I didn't see him :/ So we studied Maths until around 6 and went for dinner at the prata house nearby :D then two of his friends joined us for awhile of studying and disappeared!

Oh oh OH! And there was some carnival outside macs too! Wanted to try the jumping inflated balloon thing but nahh. I think the kids will just get scared of us. But one day! ONE DAY I WILL CONQUER IT MWAHAHA!!

Okays, self-amusing once again. Wed's exam is Electric Principles :/ I'm sooooooooooooooo dead.

I think someone hates/dislikes me ): And I think it's because of something I've said. Whatever it is that I did to offend you, I'm sorry and I hope you'll understand that I'm a person who doesn't think before I speak. (I'll try to improve on that).

Anyway, moving on to more light-hearted issues, CHRISTMAS IS COMING! :D And boy, am I excited!

People normally look forward to Christmas because of the presents they'll be receiving. But to me, Christmas has far more meaning than simply the presents. It's the warmth, the joy of giving, the atmosphere and so many other things!

Purchased a complete Christmas Carol CD yesterday. It even has 4 out of the 5 songs we are gonna sing for carolling! YIPEE! Then I can practise on my own (:

Studied with Cheryn and Yilong after school yesterday. Was really brain dead by 7pm. So we decided to do most of the studying this weekend by ourselves. My dad came to fetch me after studying, gave Cheryn a lift to the MRT station and gave Yilong a lift home hahas. I seriously didn't know his house was on the way to mine!

It's such a cooling day today (:

Had our Math test 1st thing in the morning :/ what a spoiler. Before I went to school, I saw Ben( the one in VE ) getting into a cab at the junction of our houses haha. It's so funny to see your schoolmate when you get out of your house. Anyway, I WAS supposed to be early today but ended up waiting for Cheryn -.- But it's alright I don't blame her- I think ;)

Then we had lecture and a 1 hr break after that. Cheryn and I went to eat our favourite prawn noodles at the North canteen! :D Uh actually I'm not really in a blogging mood right now( more of sleeping mood ), so I guess I'll end here. Ciaoz! (:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEN!

Yesterday was Ben's 22nd birthday haha. Was super fun or rather, TOO fun! We actually celebrated during our lecture! We ran out of the hall one by one and went downstairs to where all the benches are. Then when everyone gathered, we sang him a birthday song. After he cut his cake, Elwin and Ray rubbed WHIPPED-CREAM on his face!

It was funny cos as they were doing that, Hui Rong and I just ran around them and snapped pictures. Then after all the running around and chasing each other was over, Ben decided to attack us! YIKES! We ran abit and he gave up cos he was too tired to chase already haha. So, the girls got away scott-free and whippedcream-free (:
